ENDORSEMENT PROCESS
The National Organization for Women is a grassroots feminist organization, which means endorsements originate from the NOW members on the ground where a race is taking place.
Local, state and federal NOW endorsements are highly valuable and assure voters these candidates take uncompromising stands on feminist issues. No other PACs expect candidates to take such strong stands on such a wide range of issues. These issues include, but are not limited to:
Reproductive rights and justice
Economic justice
Ending violence against women
Racial justice
LGBTQIA+ rights
Constitutional equality
federal endorsements
NOW PAC is the endorsing body for all federal candidates (President, U.S. Senate, House of Representatives). State and local chapters do not endorse federal candidates, but the strength of our endorsement lies with the support and enthusiasm that our members bring to the campaigns of endorsed candidates.
NOW PAC relies on recommendations from NOW state leaders and each state develops its own rigorous process to evaluate federal candidates’ record and positions.
state/local endorsements
All state-level endorsements are made by NOW state and chapter leaders, who develop their own rigorous process to evaluate state or local candidates’ record and positions.
SEEKING AN ENDORSEMENT
This means that regardless of what level of office you’re seeking, your first step in a NOW endorsement is to contact the leader of the state in which you’re running.
